- LeighAthover 2 years agowho/what is this an homage to? I don’t see it in this description.
- Sorry, I thought it would be obvious by the description
1) “white trash” people
2) tattooed people
3) pierced people
4) One particular Scotsman
5) Bikers
6) The Scottish, in general
7) Weird peopleIt is a celebration of all of those things/peoples– Arletta - Oh, and even though it doesn’t say so directly:8) Disabled persons who keep on going anyway! The model was partially paralyzed and often too ill to get out of bed, and the photo was taken when he won a contest, dream date with a brolly girl– Arletta
- Let’s Pay HomageThis is a group where we pay homage. We pay homage to people, and places in time. We pay homage to everything you can possibly imagine. Let’s Pay Homage! That’s what your group says. I told you several different kinds of people, one particular person, and a few lifestyles that it paid homage to! It was possible, I imagined it, and then I did it.Why wasn’t it accepted?– Arletta
- And, your group also says this: If you love it and you think it needs to have an homage payed to it then make it and submit it. Let’s Pay Homage!Well, I love him and I think he needs homage paid to him; and I love disabled people that still make themselves counted; and I love bikers, and I love the Scottish – the ones I’ve known in my life. So, I guess what you really mean is if you find it socially acceptable, I can pay homage to it?– Arletta
- artist4peaceover 2 years agoalright mam ,this is very cool…..
- Thank you, Ma’am!– Arletta
- Anita Inverarityover 2 years agoGreat work as always Arletta- This is the sigh Scottish gentleman then- looking good xx
- lol Yes, yes it is .. him .. and him looking good. Just heard from him the other day. I thought he’d been reading his emails, but, as it turns out he wasn’t, so he told me he’s finally home and to give him a few days to sort his head out and read up on them. It’s been 53 hours, approximately, since he said that. lol Oh, I’ve got it bad!– Arletta
- Carol Berlinerover 2 years agogreeeeeeat work Arletta I pay homage to it and U !! I feel we are soul sisters in our thinking!
- Hahha! If you’re thinking about him, what I think about him, I’m going to slap you! lol No, I know that’s not what you meant. Just struck me as funny, because of what I was thinking right before I read this.Thank you very much!– Arletta
- LeighAthover 2 years agoYou didn’t need to rant. I group rules clearly state that you have to explain HOW it is an homage and what to in the description and I didn’t see that. If you would like to resubmit with what you’ve just told me in the description then we’d be happy to have it.
- No, that’s alright. I haven’t the time or energy to craft every description to fit the exact wording style required by each group a piece might fit into. I thought the description should have been quite adequate, based on the rules I read, and what I said.Guess I was wrong, in which case I’ll be continuing to be wrong every other time, too; so, no point.Thank you for the explanation though.– Arletta
- LeighAthover 2 years agoI didn’t say anything here about finding anything not socially acceptable. Where did you see that? I’m sorry if I made you feel that way.
- To be honest, at least part of it is simply because there are so many groups on here where the hosts play these little tricks – only featuring fellow countrymen or good friends, refusing to accept the works of people who live lifestyles they don’t approve of or who they personally don’t like the looks of – combined with the fact that I thought I did a fairly good job of bringing up the bit about it being about so called “white trash” – that I sort of got the impression that this was just more of the same old, same old.Obviously it is not, just; because none of those people ever pop by to explain a thing when they get that way.– Arletta
- LeighAthover 2 years agoPs it has already been declined before I asked you the question. We would prefer it if you write it in the description and resubmit.
- Anita Inverarityover 2 years agoYou are counting hours lol ? Oh dear, at least its not minutes (then I would be worried) xx
- lol Well, I wasn’t, at first, but, it so happens I noticed that AOL was .. because it’s on my AIM account. I was trying to remember what I said to him, on one subject, and to decide, in the cold clear light of day, if I should be embarrassed or what, and it just so happens that it said something about 28 hours and some odd minutes and I thought to myself “Well, there’s one of the few days gone by.”Which, of course, means I noticed when it got to be around the same time this morning … bleh!I just want to forget about it, until I hear from him or I don’t. No point in counting hours, as a few days could mean most anything. lol Especially as, and here is where I learned my lesson, even if he took two months, it might be that he’s back in the darned hospital again!– Arletta
- Now I’m counting days. 4 days! Mostly, I’m just proud of myself that I have not given in and written to him. For, this time, it is that he writes to me or we never hear from each other again. That’s one of the things I really hate, is when you find yourself always being the initiator of contact, for whatever reason. There are very few people who have an excuse to leave someone in that position.Like, obviously, children of divorced parents might be in it, and maybe prisoners who don’t know your address. Everybody else better darned well put some effort in. lol– Arletta
- Anita Inverarityover 2 years agoAh 4 days- not long really, but a lifetime sometimes xxx
- Probably not long to him! Probably, if I was busy, it wouldn’t be that long to me. It’s the fact that I’ve been purposely not writing to him that frays the nerves so quickly lol– Arletta
