It’s a sleepy blue, peaceful, but in an aftermath sort of sense.
  • Aftermath sort of sense .. grin Yes I can see that. Thanks for the insightful comment

Abstracted Maiden

Abstracted Maiden by Arletta

Abstracted Maiden by One of a series of similar poses but using different techniques
Digital Art
Hahhahahaa I forgot, when I joined the Incredible India group that I did have this uploaded already. This is one of my oh so controversial paintings that allegedly helped me to get kicked off another art site for not getting a signed model release form filled out and sent in.
It is also a painting I did of a woman from India, not a real woman but one isnpired by several different photos of real women from India who were posing in their wedding clothes.
Does that count as Incredible India? Let’s find out!

Ooooo I really like these- fab x
  • Thanks! Glad to know it, as they were quite the pain in the arse to make!
Well, the pastel one, by fact of it being before and a part of the other ones, was a bit less of a pain in the arse; but, really, they were all darned close to a thankless task for a good long while. Glad I persevered!

Marilyn Pastel Burlesque by Arletta

Marilyn Pastel Burlesque by Burlesque craze inspired by a contest from not so long ago on the Victorian Industrial group (whatever the name actually is spelled like)
I did not win the contest (submitted Madame Paris) but, the person who I voted for did, so it’s all good.

Marilyn Surprised by Arletta

Marilyn Surprised by The Marilyn Monroe phase is partially inspired by a contest related to Burlesque, mostly because I ran into a whole crop of photos of her whilst looking up inspirational images related to Burlesque. Mostly, it’s just that she’s pretty in pictures, she’s got a great personality “immortalized” on film, and she’s never far from my mind.
Mind you, I do not obsess on her, dwell on her at all in my thoughts on most occasions, just.. well: she is memorable. That’s all.

now ,well done,is this the corel paint on pc????
u could relate to the lips …yes? you got em’ you captured her essence…w.d.
  • mm hmm Like I said, most of what I do is painting, but through an art program. This is because, mostly, I cannot afford paints, markers, paper, etc. Sad, huh? lol

    Thank you!

This is very classic Marilyn- I like it because you dont see many pics with her hair pulled back like this, you got her beautifully x
  • Nope, you really don’t. Too bad as she looked both adorably young and incredibly classy with it done up this way. Thank you!

    Wonderful.
There is an Art Inspired by Music Group Arletta- you would be great there with so many music inspired works.
I think they have a Lynyrd Skynyrd inspired challenge opening for votes in the net 4 days (I seemed to notice) xxxxx
  • lol that’s Music Inspired Art, though; this is the opposite. I have submitted work that might challenge Paul’s senses and judgements, but, I think it would be going too far to submit a picture that inspired a song rather than vice versa. He’d be sardonic at me! lol

Yes, that’s what I live in fear of: the wrath of Paul being wielded at me with full strength of sardonic wit. The rest of you can worry about war, termites, and etc. but for me, that’s the big knee-quaking fear!

    lol

    Thank you!

Also, it’s funny that on the last comment you made (last one I read before this one, that is) I replied with “wonderful” only to come to this one and see you saying it. Kind of cool!

SIt and stare
Give a twirl
Balloons in hair
Oh don’t you know, it’s all a dance
No one ever really had a chance
There’s no such thing as romance
Not for a party girl
(little song, just made up)
Is there an A.I.M. (Art Inspired Music) group?
